Art Classes at Little Lost Creek

The art mediums that will be offered range from very traditional to very contemporary. Groups sizes at the farm are limited to 6 adults or children. Individuals interested in working one-on-one is also an option.
Drawing – Still life, landscape, animals, linear perspective, portraits, self-portraits, mixed media and collage. Various mediums are pencil, charcoal, and pastel. $15 supply fee.
Painting – color theory, watercolor techniques, acrylic on canvas.
Sculpture – animals, human anatomy, nature, found objects. A variety of materials might include wire, plaster, clay, and fiber.
Fiber Arts – wet and dry felting of a wide variety of projects.
Sessions can be tailored to mutual availability.
$20 per hour, with supply fees included

Workshops at Little Lost Creek
Drop Spindle Spinning – Learn the basics of spinning before purchasing an expensive spinning wheel. Workshop includes a spindle, rovings and one-hour lesson • $35
Cording – Learn to use a lucet, an ancient tool dating to the Viking and Medieval period when it was used to create cord used on clothing or to hang items from a belt. Make a bracelet, necklace, lanyard, eyeglass holder or anything else a cord can be used for. Workshop includes a lucet, materials and two-hour workshoop • $45
Inkle Loom Weaving – An inkle loom is used to make straps of various widths. Designs can be simple or intricate. Workshop includes loom rental, materials and a three-hour lesson • $50
Inkle looms are available for purchase for $60 for small loom, $70 for large loom.
Introductory Rigid Heddle Weaving – Learn the basics of weaving on a two-shaft loom. You will learn how to warp and complete a small project. Workshop includes loom rental, materials and a four-hour lesson • $75.
